Girlfriend and I are making an impromptu trip home today.
After I have my first ever mammagram.
I know.
Aren't you jealous?
But that is a story for another day.
I don't know how much to get into now,
or if now is even the right time.
But since it has consumed me for days
and nothing is real until I write about it here,
I will just say it.
My dad is sick.
Scary sick.
And I am scared.
I am going home to get some test results with him.
So pray for good news.
M'kay?

I will pray for your dad. I know I'd be so scared too. Praying for peace for you too.
I had a mammogram a few years ago. (Found a lump; mammo showed it was nothing to be concerned about.) I was scared! I remembered a friend in college saying, "It feels like your boob is being run over by a truck!" But it wasn't bad AT ALL. Slightly uncomfortable, not even painful. In fact, I found it fascinating how much that machine was able to squish down my tiny little boobies. :) So don't be worried; it's not a big deal!
Thinking of you and your dad. I wish there was anything I could do to help. (((hugs)))

Oh, friend.
I'm praying for your dad
and for you.
I know this must be very hard.
And I had to have a mammogram
last year, too.
Same as Beth above:
I found a lump...
went in...
it was nothing.
And mine didn't hurt either,
but probably because there's
not much to squish. :)
Hope all is well.
