Oscar.
As in Oscar the grouch.
I can already tell I am going to be grouchy today. It's not good when I know it at 7:26 in the morning.
It's really not good when I know it after a run, cause usually a run really starts the day right.
Oh goody.
Goody Goody Gum Drops.
Maybe it's the fact my house won't sell.
Or maybe it's the fact I am going to be a single parent this weekend. (Chris qualified for a big golf tournament so YEA HIM!! I am very proud of him, but still! Friday, Saturday AND Sunday? Why is it always worse on the weekend?)
Or maybe it's the fact my house won't sell.
Or maybe it's the fact that Ellie is exerting her independence tenfold lately and wants to wear only bathing suits and ballerina dresses.
Or maybe it's the fact my house won't sell and I found the cutest little cottage in the town I want and it's in our price range and I know it's going to dissappear before I get a chance to take a second look.
Or maybe it's the fact I want pancakes with lots of butter for breakfast but have made a "nutritional commitement."
Or maybe it's the fact my house won't sell.
Or maybe it's the fact that my enormous cat keeps pooping outside her box.
Or maybe it's the fact my house won't sell.
Or maybe it's the fact that my dishwasher needs unloaded and that is my absolute least favorite chore.
Or maybe it's the fact my house won't sell.
Woe is me.
Can you hear them?
Those tiny little violinists playing sad music following me around?
I can.
I think those little buttheads think I am feeling sorry for myself.
But I'm not. I'm just grouchy. Can't a girl be grouchy on occasion? Can't the glass be half empty for a change?
Whew! I feel better.
Cause while all of the above is true, I have all the important things. Health, wealth (ha!) and happiness. Mostly.

I'll come unload your dishwasher and Julia and Ellie can play water-ballerinas together. :)
I'm so sorry about the house--I know that's so frustrating!! Ugh.
As for the dishwasher, that's a chore I don't mind much. But I hate bathrooms. Trade?
Why have a half empty glass when you can have a FULL glass... of wine, that is ;o) I'll drink one with ya!
You crack me up! I was in a similar mood the other day and changed my IM avatar-picture-thingy to an Oscar the Grouch picture. It's OK to grouch it up now and then. ☺
Yuck. Sorry about the house. Believe me when I tell you I feel your pain. And am feeling your pain. :)
Have fun this weekend with your girl. Isn't there a movie coming out about cats & dogs? That will kill a couple of hours, right? :)

I bet you're only in a grouchy mood because your house won't sell. I can't believe you forgot to mention that!
Tia - I love you and your beautiful little Ellie. Having raised 3 daughters I totally understand the bathing suit and ballerina dress thing! Idon't know if you know it but Eric and I have just moved to Austin Texas with Lisa and Shawn. We are living together in a huge apartment (with lots of amenities) no more mowing for me!! and we are just a few minutes from Mimi and her beautiful Logan - my first grandson that I will be caring for. SO, this is a very full glass and I am in the middle of my "dream come true" but my very (believe it or not) unexpected divorce after 24 years has left me pretty broke and without much future prospects so that brings me down all the time. I will be in a much better situation when my house in Muncie sells. (waiting, waiting and praying). But even with that, nuture that relationship with your daughter (as I know you will)My children are my best friends and they are the ones that are making my future very bright and happy. So, cheer up! we love you! BTW, IKEA has a trash can that is so Oscar the Grouch and it comes in white and green!
